May 2023: Community-based Education & Prevention Program Related To Plastic Usage and Development Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Mohamad received the Social Accountability TOGETHER Awards from the University of Ottawa to develop a prevention program for children on the risk to use plastics. He did his first intervention at Académie Providence school in Overbrook. Thanks to Manon and Gerard for helping him!
Mohamad a reçu la bourse TOGETHER de l'université d'Ottawa pour développer un programme de prévention destiné aux enfants sur l'utilisation des plastiques. Il a fait sa première intervention à l'école Académie Providence dans le quartier Overbrook. Merci à Manon et Gerard de l'avoir aidé !

Mathilde is starting her Master (research project) in May and will be working on the diabetes-depression project

Fozia was awarded a MITACS scholarships to spend 4 months (Aug-Dec 2019) in the lab of Maria Pereira (Uppsala, Sweden) to study the role of the communication between adipose tissue and skeletal muscle in the development of bisphenol-induced metabolic defects.
Fozia a passé 4 mois (Août-Déc 2019) dans le lab de Maria Pereira (Upssala, Suède) pour étudier le rôle de la communication entre le tissu adipeux et le muscle dans les développements de défauts métaboliques induits par les bisphénols. Pour cela, Fozia a reçu une bourse MITACS, félicitations !
